California attorney John Wolfgram, in conjunction with the Constitutional Defender Association and attorney Cyrus Zal, recently submitted an Amicus brief to the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, DC arguing on behalf of the We The People Foundation plaintiffs in the landmark Right-to-Petition lawsuit, We The People vs. The United States, case No. 05-5359.

A time comes when silence is betrayal.

I come to this magnificent house of worship tonight because my conscience leaves me no other choice. I join with you in this meeting because I am in deepest agreement with the aims and work of the organization which has brought us together: Clergy and Laymen Concerned about Vietnam. The recent statement of your executive committee are the sentiments of my own heart and I found myself in full accord when I read its opening lines: "A time comes when silence is betrayal." That time has come for us in relation to Vietnam.

Email From Jesse Toca

We recieved this email from Jesse Toca, a fellow whose trial we have been watching because of a few possibly corrupt judges, and prosecutor. He asked us to forward it to all of you as well. He prevailed yesterday in his court action. The prosecutor was trying to have him put in jail for 4 years for a breaking his probation by refusing to give up his 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights. This case was in the court system for 8 years. It was there because Jesse refused to give up his God given, and Constitutionally upheld rights.

Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death

Patrick Henry, March 23, 1775.

No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The question before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.

First News Article Published On "America...' Is Favorable

Aaron Russo's documentary, "America...From Freedom to Fascism" appears to be having a powerful effect on all who see it - even news reporters - as it continues to play before standing room only audiences.

Letter From Joe Banister

Dear Friends:

I just wanted to alert those in the San Francisco Bay Area that Hollywood Producer Aaron Russo, who has received acclaim and awards including a Grammy, a Tony, and an Emmy and whose films have been nominated for six Academy Awards and seven Golden Globes, is bringing his masterpiece film, "America: From Freedom To Fascism", to the Bay Area for two pre-screenings, one in San Jose on April 7, 2006 and one in San Francisco on April 8, 2006.

I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Russo's film in a private screening a few days ago and, despite the fact that I am familiar with much of the subject matter of the film, I was literally on the edge of my seat from beginning to end - I know you will be too.

Mr. Russo plans a nationwide commercial release of the film this summer but in early April Bay Area residents will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience one of the most provocative films you will see in your lifetime, at no charge.

Our plan is to have a San Jose screening at 6:00 pm and another at 8:00 pm at San Jose City Hall. San Jose City Hall is located at 200 East Santa Clara Street (between 4th and 6th Streets), San Jose, California. The screening will take place in the "West Wing" of the complex. See pictures of the facility here.

See a map of parking facilities here.

Seating for the San Jose screening is very limited - there are only about 115 seats for the 6:00 pm screening and 115 seats for the 8:00 showing. Come early to claim your seat. Once the seats are taken, we have no choice but to close the doors and you will go away disappointed.

The film is about 1 hour and 45 minutes long and we will begin promptly at 6:00 pm and again at 8:00 pm. We must vacate the facility by 10:00 pm sharp so we will follow a tight schedule. It is important that those who are seated not be distracted by commotion at the door - the film requires the viewer's complete attention from the very start - so we will be very strict about getting people seated and starting promptly at the designated times. If you think you will have trouble getting to downtown San Jose by 5:45, plan on coming to the 8:00 pm screening - but be aware that this is a first come, first served event and demand may exceed seats available - if you are going to make the effort to attend, then COME EARLY. If you can't come early, perhaps you should consider attending the San Francisco screening where upwards of 500 seats are available (details below).

Working together, we can make sure the San Jose screening goes very smoothly. I look forward to seeing you there.

I am not involved in the coordination of the San Francisco screening, although I plan to try to attend the San Francisco event nonetheless. The screening will be held at the Victoria Theater located at 2961 16th Street, San Francisco, California 94103. The phone number for the Victoria Theater is (415) 863-7576. The theater seats 500 and I believe, BUT HAVE NOT CONFIRMED, that there is no need for a reservation. Additional information is available at www.givemeliberty.org and www.freedomtofascism.com.

Audio Reports From Russo Screenings
In New York and New Hampshire

3/25 & 3/26

From the Desk of Alex Petroski, South East Director of WTP

Montel Williams has expressed a desire to do shows regarding truths the American people are not being told. He plans to air these shows on Tuesdays of each week until the elections. I would like for us to send a mail blitz to the show. (This idea was sent to us by a SE member)

Because Aaron Russo, Bob Schulz, and Joe Banister are so credible, and in light of the film "America.... from Freedom to Fascism," it seems like a good idea to have them all interviewed and let the American people learn what is happening in this country right under their noses. They may want to interview others as well. But this is a start.

It would be great if all of you would send a letter to this effect to the show. I am sending mine tonight although I have already submitted the idea online. I got word that actual letters and phone calls work better than online messages.

Let's go !
